A Namibian tax-benefit Microsimulation Model (NAMOD)

SASPRI has developed a stand-alone static microsimulation model based on the EUROMOD platform for Namibia. This has been provided to government in Namibia to assist with evidence-based policy-making. As with SAMOD, the new version of NAMOD was undertaken in collaboration with ISER at the the University of Essex. Work to update the model and undertake training with government departments has been funded by UNU-WIDER as part of the SOUTHMOD project .
